Racism in Churches

I just finished reading the new book You Were Made For More by Jim Cymbala. Out of the entire book this one quote stood out to me more than anything:

"I am convinced that one of the main obstacles to spiritual revival in this country, is racial prejudice in churches."

Could it be that we aren't seeing revivals and awakenings like we have in the past because 11 a.m. on Sunday morning is the most segregated time of the entire week? What a shame that we will spend an eternity worshipping together in heaven but we can't seem to get it right here on earth. How long will it take until racism in America disappears but more importantly how long will it take for racism in our churches to end?

How awful that we may miss out on an unbelievable movement of God because we can't get over our differences in color.

I was impressed by your posting that I found while seeking material for our radio program. If you get a chance to join us, I would very much like to share your sentiment and help pose solutions to this.
