Please Pray for Russell

At about 8 a.m. this morning our Worship Pastor here at FBC Broken Arrow, Russell Freeman, had what appears to be a heart attack, while driving from church to his home. He is now in Southcrest Hospital in Tulsa and is still non-responsive. His heart rate is unstable and doctors have now placed him in a coma for the next 2 days hoping to revive him after that. Please keep Russell in your prayers. His heart for the Lord and leading others in worship is unmatched. He is an unbelievable worship leader and has done so much for me and my family already just in the short time that we have been here. Please also pray for his wife Kathy, son Tyler, and daughter Lauren in this time.

There will be a prayer service tonight at 6 p.m. in our worship center.

Just to update, it's Tuesday morning and still nothing really new. It was determined that he did officially have a heart attack. His heart has only been functioning at 25%. They have begun the process of bringing him out of the coma that they put him in. Hopefully this afternoon doctors will have a better assessment of the situation. Thanks for your prayers.

Thank you for the update, Jeremy. My mother attends FBCBA, and I have thoroughly enjoyed visiting the church and worshiping under Russell's music leadership. My family and I are praying for him and his family.

It's Thursday morning and things are still basically the same. The doctors were really hoping that once they brought him out of the coma that he would wake up but he did not. Russell is still not responding to anything at this point. Machines are still keeping him alive. It's been a tough week for sure. Thank you so much for your prayers, please continue to pray for him and his family.

I got to see Russell yesterday. He just looks like he's in a deep sleep. But still nothing has really changed. He is still unconscious. Kathy is doing well and said that they are looking to move him to another hospital soon. Thanks for all your prayers.

What a grand opportunity to have Russell and Kathy lead us in Worship at Trinity Baptist in Southaven, Ms. a few years ago! They are truly very special to many people here in this area.
